The family of the late Elder Gabriel Abu Idoko, affectionately known as “Father Abraham,” has announced the funeral arrangements for the centenarian who passed away recently at the remarkable age of 103.
According to a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos by his son, Oga Abu, the burial ceremonies are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 9th, and Thursday, July 10th, 2025.
The funeral rites will commence with a Christian wake keep on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at the compound of the late Elder Gabriel Abu Idoko in Iga-Okpaya, Apa Local Government Area, Benue State.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Methodist Church, Nigeria, Iga-Okpaya. Following the service, internment will immediately take place in the compound of Elder Gabriel Abu Idoko, also in Iga-Okpaya, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.
Elder Gabriel Abu Idoko lived a long and impactful life, earning him the moniker “Father Abraham” among those who knew him. His passing marks the end of an era, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community.
