Youths of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from various northern states of Nigeria are calling on Abdul Sidi Bomi from Niger State to declare his candidacy for the position of PDP National Chairman in the upcoming national convention. This appeal was made following outcome of an emergency meeting held in Kaduna.
The Secretary of PDP Youths for Integrity (PYI), Ahmed Abdullahi Sheikh who gave the hints in an interview with newsmen assured Abdul of youth endowment for the position.
Ahmed described Abdul Sidi Bomi, Kauran Lapai, as a true democrat, believing that his election as National Chairman would lead to the unification of party members and the reconciliation of those who have defected to other ruling parties.
“We are confident that if elected, Abdul Bomi will reposition the party and return the PDP to its foundational principles and ideology as a winning party. This will help us secure victories in more states and in the presidential election in 2027,” Sheikh stated.
Sheikh Abdullahi also urged the PDP National Working Committee to support and endorse Abdul Bomi during the national convention.
Comrade Shehu Usman, the leader of the PDP Youths for Integrity,who echoed these statements, commended Abdul Sidi Bomi for his grassroots beginnings and his reputation as an active, selfless politician.
He called upon the National Working Committee and all stakeholders to rally behind Abdul Bomi’s candidacy for the position of National Chairman, emphasizing his demonstrated integrity and political acumen.
This endorsement reflects the growing support for Abdul Bomi among the youth faction of the PDP, highlighting their hopes for a revitalized and united party moving forward.
