Creato Urban, an award-winning strategic communications and public relations agency, has been named Most Outstanding PR Agency in Strategic Communications at the 2026 Brandcom Awards, adding to a series of industry recognitions the agency has received this month.

The award recognises its work in strategic communications, reputation management and brand building, reinforcing its position as a respected force in Nigeria’s communications industry.
The award is the highest recognition given to a PR agency, rewarding strategic thinking, creativity, reputation leadership and the use of communications to drive business growth, judged on strategic counsel, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, digital intelligence and measurable impact, and on the ability to turn complex objectives into clear, influential strategy.
The recognition comes as organisations increasingly contend with complex stakeholder expectations, heightened public scrutiny and the growing influence of digital platforms on corporate reputation. Creato Urban’s approach centres on understanding the business, cultural and reputational realities behind each brief, developing communications strategies that connect organisational objectives with public perception and deliver meaningful value for clients.
Commenting on the award, Odion Aleobua, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Creato Urban, said, “This recognition is an encouraging acknowledgement of the work our team has been doing and the standard we continue to pursue. We have always believed that effective strategic communications begins with understanding the business challenge, the people involved and the wider environment in which an organisation operates. That understanding is what enables communications to influence perception, strengthen reputation and contribute to business outcomes.”
He added, “The expectations of public relations have evolved. Organisations need communications partners who can interpret complex issues, anticipate reputational risks and help them earn the trust of the audiences that matter to their business. That requires sound judgement, strong ideas and the ability to connect strategy with execution. We are proud of the work that has brought us this recognition, grateful to our clients for trusting us with important business challenges, and proud of the team whose thinking and expertise continue to distinguish our work.”
In a further achievement, the agency’s Chief Operating Officer, Oluwafemi Victor-Afolabi, was named among Nigeria’s Top 35 Under 35 Marketing and Communications Professionals. Her selection further highlights the agency’s leadership calibre and its contribution to the marketing and communications profession.
These recognitions add to Creato Urban’s record of industry accolades, including honours for its work in reputation management, brand building and corporate social responsibility. The agency continues to work with organisations across sectors to develop communications strategies informed by insight, cultural understanding and the realities of the markets in which they operate.
Organised by Brand Communicator, the Brandcom Awards recognise brands, agencies, organisations and professionals contributing to Nigeria’s marketing communications industry. The 2026 awards ceremony took place on 24 October at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, following Brandcomfest, which explored the theme “Brand Building, Consumer Connection and Disruptive Realities.”
