According to Toju Egbebi, Corporate Affairs Manager at Nestlé Nigeria Plc, MAGGI partnered with 30 regional women’s associations and hosted five major market activations, effectively doubling participant numbers compared to the previous year.

The August Meeting is a sacred annual tradition bringing Southeast Nigerian women together to discuss family, community development, and cultural preservation. Following formal community discussions, MAGGI hosted festive receptions featuring live music, cooking competitions, giveaways, and special appearances by notable Southeast personalities Ruby Ojiakor, Blessing Obasi, and Blessing Onwukwe.

Central to the initiative were culinary and health sessions tailored to everyday household needs, including culinary workshops that demonstrated fresh, creative approaches to traditional meals and encouraged local cooking skills through friendly competitions. Additionally, budget-conscious nutrition sessions educated participants on balanced, diverse meal planning within household budgets with a strong focus on micronutrients such as iron, while highlighting the health benefits of dietary diversification and the role of iron-fortified MAGGI products in meeting daily family nutritional requirements.

”August Meeting is a powerful expression of the role women play in strengthening families, preserving traditions, and driving progress in their communities. For MAGGI, being part of this enduring tradition is especially meaningful as we mark 60 years in Nigeria. It is an opportunity to celebrate the women who have been part of our journey while sharing practical knowledge and the joy of food.”

Highlighting a lasting bond built over six decades, Funmi Osineye, Category Manager (Culinary) at Nestlé Nigeria, noted that participant feedback underscored the deep community impact of the event, as shared by Christianna Nwibo, an executive with the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) in Nwofe, Ebonyi State, who said, “We really enjoyed the MAGGI experience at our August Meeting.”

The food was delicious, the gifts were wonderful, and we had such a good time.”
Actress Blessing Onwukwe, who attended events in Enugu and Ebonyi states, echoed the sentiment: “Joining the 2026 August Meeting celebrations was a wonderful experience. I am truly glad to have had the opportunity to be part of the celebrations across both states.”

As MAGGI celebrates 60 years in Nigeria, the brand continues to deepen its relationship with consumers across generations, reinforcing its commitment to practical nutrition, cultural traditions, and community upliftment.
