Prominent businessman Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of Afrobeat star Davido, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent approximately ₦60 billion on vote-buying during the Osun State governorship election.
Speaking on the conduct of the poll, Adeleke claimed that the opposition party deployed massive financial resources to influence voters, with inducements reaching up to ₦50,000 per vote in certain areas.
Despite the heavy monetization of the electoral process, Adeleke stated that his steadfast prayers and the resolve of the electorate played a critical role in securing victory for his brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke.
