The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, confirmed the decision, explaining that the intervention was necessary to ensure an effective and harmonious working environment within the agency.

The dissolution is comprehensive, affecting the Chairman, the Executive Secretary, all members of the Council, and Ex-Officio members.

All affected officials have been directed to immediately hand over the Council’s affairs and all government property in their possession to the most senior officer in the agency by the close of work on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Handover documents must be submitted to two offices: the Department of Research, Evaluation, and Political Affairs within the Office of the SSG and the Commissioner of the Ministry of Investment and Commerce.

The government’s statement reaffirmed its commitment to principles of good governance, transparency, and effective service delivery across all state institutions
