Zeeoma has successfully concluded the inaugural edition of The Open Door Lagos, selecting four standout Nigerian creative brands for expansion into the United States market alongside ₦7 million in non-equity business funding.

The Open Door initiative by Zeeoma serves as a bridge for exceptional African entrepreneurs, offering curated marketplace placement and structured commercial access to consumers across the U.S.
The inaugural call for applications drew 108 entries from across Nigeria, spanning fashion, accessories, beauty, art, and home goods. Following a rigorous evaluation based on craftsmanship, brand storytelling, cultural heritage, and market readiness, 20 finalists were selected to pitch live to a panel of industry veterans in Lagos.
At the conclusion of the pitch sessions, four category winners were awarded funding and guaranteed entry into Zeeoma’s U.S. network: Male Fashion: Mak — ₦2 Million
Female Fashion: NorthArabia Couture — ₦2 Million. Accessories: Estrogine Enterprises — ₦2 Million. Beauty & Wellness: Amari Hair & Scalp Care — ₦1 Million.
Beyond financial capital, these brands will leverage Zeeoma’s established retail infrastructure to launch their products directly to American consumers.

Speaking at the event, Isioma Ezepue, Co-Founder of Zeeoma, emphasized the mission behind the initiative:
”Every day, talented African entrepreneurs create products that genuinely enhance people’s lives, yet many never get the chance to reach the customers who need them. That is why Zeeoma exists, to provide that access. We want African creative brands to confidently declare that their products have been seen, worn, used, and appreciated globally. What we observed today reinforces my belief in the strength of African heritage, and I am continually inspired by the originality and craftsmanship displayed on this stage.”
The Open Door Lagos Edition was supported by key ecosystem partners, including NIMR, Fashions Finest Africa, Vital Care Express, Zep Health, Evon Lab, Ekualor Group, and Impact Hub.
