A political group, known as Alife for FON, in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has publicly expressed its support for the re-election of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in a solidarity road walk held yesterday.
The event celebrated the achievements of Nwifuru’s administration and honored Mrs. Peace Ifeoma Agwu, the first female Executive Chairman of Ishielu Local Government, who was dubbed Ezinne 1 of Ishielu LGA. The group’s leaders emphasized that Nwifuru has demonstrated exceptional capacity and performance, warranting a second term in office.
The road walk drew a substantial crowd, featuring local leaders from Alife for FON, including Hon. Agwu Uchenna Ezekiel, Barrister Emeka Odanwu (Coordinator of Ishielu Development Center), and several special assistants to the local government chairman, such as Hon. Egbe Stephen Chinonso and Emeka Ogbonna, who oversees youth and security matters.
During the event, Hon. Egbe Stephen Chinonso—who previously sought election to the State House of Assembly for Ishielu South Constituency—urged youth in Ishielu to rally behind Mrs. Peace Egwu, highlighting her noteworthy contributions to empowerment initiatives in the area. He appealed for a collective effort to ensure Nwifuru’s re-election in the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial elections, emphasizing the importance of continued effective leadership for the community’s progress.
The enthusiastic display of support from Alife for FON underscores the strong local backing for Governor Nwifuru as he gears up for his second term campaign.
