SON presents MANCAP certificates to 5 companies in Cross River

The Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON ) has presented the Mandatory Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certificates to five companies in Cross River State.

The five companies include: Native Food Bakery, Amadis. Bakery, Alice Ice Confectionary, Daro Bakery and Differential Aluminum.

SON Director General, Dr Ifenayi Okeke, stated that MANCAP is a mandatory product certification to ensure that manufacturers deliver Quality products all the time.

Okeke who was represented by the State Coordinator of SON, Engineer Ninma Apin said the Organization would continue to deliver on quality products.

He stated that the scheme was to ensure that manufacturers deliver quality products.

According to Apin, this is to ensure that the product certify today continue to meet relevant requirements.

He further stated that for every companies that was certifies, SON visited them four times in a quarter.

In his reaction the Chief executive officer of Alice Ice confectionaries, Eja Igwe Eja express happiness for the feat and promised to maintain standard.

Also, the Manager of Alice Ice Bakeries, Joy Henshaw, said: “We thank SON for keeping us on our toes explaining that today we have been able to get MANCAP certification for five products in our company
