Rising from its annual convention in Lagos recently, President of Nigeria Youths For Atiku, Professor Gold Emmanuel has urged the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to give the presidency another shot in 2027.
The President and the national leadership of the leading support group which has solid grassroot bases across the 36 states in Nigeria highlighted some of the key personal achievements of the former President which inter Alia include running one of the most successful international University in Nigeria and other fleets of businesses which today has been quite successful.
“We are of the opinion that anyone seeking public office must first of all be successful in private business. He urged Atiku to bring his experience in private business to fore in the running of the economy of the country.” They emphasized
Professor Emmanuel at the pressing briefing after the successful end of the group’s convention, futher highlighted the Waziri Adamawa’s philanthropic and humble gesture as a major areas of strength required of any aspiring leader. “His desire to see to the education of some of the chibok girls who were rescued years back without making it a publicity item is commendable .” She said.
Professor Emmanuel, the convener of the group also spoke of the current economic hardship being faced by Nigerians and assured all that Atiku is capable of navigating Nigeria in the right economic direction if given the opportunity to run the affairs of the country.
In her remark during the convention, she emphasized the need to elect a passionate President who understands the economic and the political demography of the country rather that electing leaders based on ethnicity sentiment.
She reminded the participants that Alhaji Atiku paraded the best economic blueprint during the 2023 Presidential campaign and accused APC of stealing some of the programs which they are already implementing but in a wrong way. To correct the current economic distortions brought about by bad policies of APC led government, a man with vast experience both in private and public entreprise needs to be in the saddle come 2027.
