Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club Makes Major Contributions to Agidingbi Community

In a remarkable display of community service and dedication to education and well-being, the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club, District 404 B2 Nigeria, in collaboration with the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), marked yet another milestone with the inauguration of their 4th Legacy Project for the year. This time, the spotlight shines on Agidingbi Primary School, Agidingbi Lagos, as the beneficiary of a renovated block of classrooms and a crèche.

The event, which also featured the donation of 50 special need eyeglasses to members of the community identified during the club’s 3rd Legacy Project tagged: “The Love Medical Mission” was attended by esteemed representatives from various sectors. Among the dignitaries present were representatives from the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, the Nigeria Union of Teachers Secretary, community leaders, Parent Teacher Association members, and Lions Club officials.

Leading the distinguished gathering were Lion Prof Dayo Fagbohun PMJF, NLCF, the District Governor, and Lion Tolulope Senbanjo PMJF, NLCF, the First Vice District Governor and District LCIF Coordinator. They were joined by esteemed Past District Governors Lion Wesley Kafidiya PMJF, NLCF, Lion Kayode Oshinuga PMJF,NLCF, and Lion Aare Lekan Owolabi PMJF, NLCF.

The ceremony commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the District Governor Lion Prof Dayo Fagbohun PMJF, NLCF, symbolizing the official handover of the renovated facilities to the Agidingbi Primary School. Lion Opeyemi Sanyaolu NLCF, the President of the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club, then led a tour of the newly refurbished classrooms and crèche, showcasing the club’s commitment to providing conducive learning environments for children in the community.

Speaking at the event, Lion Prof Dayo Fagbohun emphasized the importance of education in nation-building and commended the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club for their unwavering dedication to uplifting communities through impactful projects. He also expressed gratitude to the Lions Club International Foundation for their continuous support in making such initiatives possible.

Lion Tolulope Senbanjo PMJF, NLCF, the District LCIF Coordinator and First Vice District Governor, stressed the importance of utilizing the LCIF grant for impactful community projects, urging all Lions clubs to prioritize projects that make a tangible difference in the lives of community members.

The President of the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club, Lion Opeyemi Sanyaolu NLCF, expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the project and reiterated the club’s commitment to serving humanity.

The Club Service Chairperson, Lion Tayo Osunremi, played a pivotal role in coordinating the club’s efforts and ensuring the smooth execution of the legacy projects.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from the school management, community representatives, and beneficiaries of the eyeglasses donation, highlighting the transformative impact of the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club’s initiatives on the Agidingbi community.
